Hello! Happy Saturday! Are you weekending in proper fashion? I hope so. We had a busy week, but yesterday things slowed down, and it turned out to be a great day. The boys started spring break and they occupied themselves with some basketball and friends at the park near our home. All the boys they know are a great group of kids and I was happy they had time to get together. They weren't gone long. They came home soon after, because it started to rain. I'm always relieved when they get home safe and sound.
Right about that time a chill returned to the air as well. I made tea, and sat by the window to knit. Then, I found myself looking over at my yarn and suddenly saying, yes to this one, and yes to that…and..."Oh yes!...that pattern will definitely do." Before long, I was casting on vanilla socks in a little Toil and Trouble yarn, followed by a LaReine shawl in Yarn Hollow's, Sailor's Delight! Both of the yarns are really nice and I'm enjoying these new knits very much. The LaReine shawl is an easy pattern and really enjoyable to knit.
The plum and peach trees in our yard are wearing their crowns of glory this week, and I almost forgot how I love to bring twigs of blooms in for a vase. I guess I'm not in the mind set yet, that it's that time. Oh but I'm glad I remembered before their gone. The fragrance is divine and aren't they beautiful? Thank goodness for flowering trees. I'm grateful for them today.
Well dear friends, I hope the rest of your weekend is lovely and you find time for peaceful things you love to do.
Thank you so much for visiting with me here too. Jeannine:)
