Hello! It's a hot one here in the Midwest. How is the weather where you are? I stopped by for a quick hello before the family heads out for brunch at a local restaurant. My husband is off with us for a few days, so I'm attempting to make meals a little extra special this week. I prefer to eat at home, but with the suggestion of eating out made by my son, I can certainly enjoy going out as well, and bonus, no dishes to clean!
We continue to spend most of our days and evenings outside, working by day on the land around the house, (replacing dirt from when the porch was torn out yesterday), and doing sweet summer things in the evening, like walking through the park, sitting on the driveway watching a bat or two swirl overhead, listening to the song of cicadas, and quiet knitting in bed.
I'm enjoying working on the Ramona cardigan. The yarn reminds me of another project I made some years ago, and I think I might have to try it again and maybe write out a new pattern.
I am behind in my Etsy shop plans because I did not anticipate everything from my kitchen being placed in the dining room (where I craft at the moment) during updates to the house. Things are slowly moving back into the kitchen, and a beautiful chest is arriving tomorrow to organize my supplies. I'll show you when I get it packed full of crafty goodness, and I'll soon be on my way to crafting for the shop again. I'll of course let you know when I have a start date.
Wishing you a peaceful rest of the week friends. May your days and evenings be filled with all the goodness summer can bring. xo Jeannine
