Hello and welcome to fall! I am so excited to be sitting and writing to you today. It's quite a feeling of elation really. I had hip surgery this past February, and a couple months ago I went back to work full-time. The 12 hour shifts, along with training, and hours of walking during those shifts required an adjustment period, and well...sleep! All along though, I knew I'd return here. I decided I wouldn't let a job I need to do, keep me from things I love to do. Thank you so much for checking in, visiting again, and thank you to those who have purchased yarn from my little shop! Thank you all!
I recently finished my Nurmilintu shawl. I have always loved this pattern. I like how the pattern looks like little trees and the asymmetrical shape which makes for shorter rows while knitting. I love this shawl in just about every color, but always wanted to knit it in a forest green. I overdyed the yarn in shades of green and some black to get the variegated deep green color.
There are a couple new knits on my needles at the moment. The socks are Coffee Talk by Tracie Millar. The yarn is a blue scrap found in my stash and one of the first yarns I dyed, in a mixed berry colorway. I love the mix of colors at the toes in this pattern and think that will motivate me to knit them. You may remember that I don't love knitting socks, but I absolutely love a finished pair. The shawl pattern is Falling Slowly by Irish Girlie Knits. The yarn is by Sweet Sparrow Yarns, in colorway, Peninsula's Third Cutting.
A little shop note:
I recently received a delivery of wool and I'm planning a shop update some time in early November for the holidays. It feels so good at summer's end to be doing what I love and right in time for the cozy days ahead.
Thanks for stopping by! I hope you have a wonderful weekend. Jeannine:)
