Happy Sunday! It's raining here today. It's the kind of rain that turns each room in the house to a soft, shadowed gray. When a small lamp is turned on, a gentle glow, makes the morning feel special. As I sit down with tea, a book... yarn, there is no gloomy weather, even though that's what the outdoors tries to portray.
Last night after dinner, I finished my Oaklet shawl. After running out of yarn last week, I tried to find some online, but there was none. This brought me down the stairs and around the corner, to my stash where I found a sweet little ball of Adrienne Vittadini yarn from Italy. The cream color matched my shawl and the weight was right. I didn't have many other options, so it was a go. There are very tiny sequins, spaced far enough to be delicate, and they remind me of a single sprinkle found on a sugar cookie. I like the pattern, but didn't plan on combining yarns. It's not my favorite shawl, but I do like sprinkles!
New yarn arrived in the mail and I'm always excited when a stitch marker unexpectedly comes with it. I really like the gradient knitting I'm seeing around, so I ordered a set of mini skeins. I'm looking forward to using these little beauties.
My pink Teasdale shawl looks like I haven't touched it, but I have done some. The yarn and pattern draw up quite a bit. I haven't worked on it as much as I would like however. I save it for when I have quiet time, and well, that's not often. That's all perfectly ok with me though.
Well, I hope your Sunday is cozy friends. Remember to find time for you, and for calm today, before you start your busy week.
