Happy Sunday to you! Is it a relaxing knitting kind of day, or an outdoor, plant a garden kind of day? I think I’ll take this one slow and perhaps next week, I’ll start the work outside. The weather is as beautiful as it gets here today, sunny and cool. The birds are all singing different songs, creating sweet music that I love to hear. After a cup of coffee early this morning, we drove to my daughter’s house, to go out to breakfast. Then, the boys stayed with her and her husband for the day. They are headed here, and although I’d love to see all that has to offer, I am not a fan of crowds, noise, or walking all day, so this time, my husband and I decided to let all the grown kids have fun and we’d save a little money and have a quiet day together. (The kids are each other’s best friends and that makes me very happy!) My dad was in the Air Force, and my son-in-law is a pilot, so we do love planes. Over the years, Nathan has memorized most facts about each and every one. He must be having a blast and he will have a lot to talk about when he returns home.
The blue socks for Kayla are under way, and hopefully a good vanilla sock pattern, to go back to later, is under way as well. There is a quilt in the making for Kayla too. It’s been on a hanger a few months. A surprise that can’t yet be revealed. Nolan wants a hat, Jordan socks, and Nathan a quilt as well. I have my work cut out for me, for sure! Thank you to those who made suggestions about vanilla socks!
Well sweet friends, a short, (late morning) post today to say hello, and whether you are knitting or working in the garden, I hope your project grows! Much love. Jeannine
