Hello and welcome to a new week! I finished my Forever and Always Socks! Even though I said I don’t actually love knitting socks, I adore a hand knitted pair of socks as much as the next knitter, and I think each pair are really a small treasure. Do you think so? The pattern was very nice to knit, well written, and easy to follow.
I have additional pairs of socks on needles (at least three), waiting to be finished. I wish I had patience to knit a drawer full, but for now I’ll work on some shawls and other knits that I look forward to sharing. When it’s time for hot summer knitting, I’ll pull the socks out to finish.
I made some progress on my Antarktis shawl. (It was less of a knitting week, and more of a make chicken soup and Zuppa Toscana, with Kale, not spinach, for loved ones kind of week.) Antarktis is a fun and also a familiar pattern in the knitting community. It’s very easy to knit if attention is given to keeping track of the rows. It will be a perfect shawl for summer and especially for those times when air conditioning is too much, when I’m out in restaurants and such.
I hope you have a lovely week! Jeannine
P.S. I will be adding items to my shop this Friday. Happy Knitting!
