Happy Sunday to you! I hope today finds you well. I’ve been knitting along on my shawl, and I think it would be really nice in a solid yarn, that would highlight the pattern. I think I’ll have to make another soon.
After I have my tea with you this morning, I’ll be working on Sunday dinner. There’s nothing planned in advance really. I have to laugh at that, as I’m planning while I type! So, I think there will be a pork roast, with mashed potatoes and rolls. And there is a big bowl of pears in the kitchen, so a hot pear tart with ice cream may be dessert. I think maybe this one! Yes definitely.
I love the Return to Sunday Dinner book. I’ve shared it here before, but just looking at it sometimes, even on the shelf, reminds me that I want Sunday dinner to be special and I find myslef putting out a little more effort to make it that way. I wonder if the author knew it may have that affect?
As I started cutting out the first project bag yesterday, I cut another, and another, until there was a stack of project bags ready to be stitched. I enjoy sewing so much more when everything is ready and I usually do cut one day and sew the next. It just works better for me. How about those of you who sew, do you have any sewing tricks that help you this way?
Well, before I go slice pears, I wanted to ask all of you a little something. I know not everybody sews, and before I made project bags, I would look to purchase them and sometimes couldn’t find them. Could you use a new little project bag? If so, stop by next Saturday or Sunday, the 16th or 17th, and let me know if you’d prefer, the Drama llamas (sweet llamas), or the Glamping (cute campers) bag. I’ll give one away in a drawing on Monday morning, April 18th, and announce the winner with my post that day.
Friends, I hope this Sunday is a perfect beginning, to a perfect week for each of you! Thank you for visiting with me here:) Jeannine xo
