Yesterday I made bread. It has been quite a while since I’ve made bread since I’m busier now that I took a little part time job away from home, and because the days have been so hot. I was happy to slice and serve the bread with dinner last night, and toasting it with morning tea is quite wonderful too.
This morning, I needed to grab a sweater before going outside with my knitting. It is a gorgeous cool morning here today. I am enjoying and have become smitten with Trader Joe’s Pomegranate White Tea for summer tea drinking. I add one teaspoon of vanilla sugar and it’s so yummy.
I’m joining Ginny over at Small Things for her Yarn Along today. I’m reading The Life of Irene Nemirovsky, by Olivier Philipponnat and Patrick Lienhardt. Irene Nemirovsky is the author of the novel I’m reading, Suite Francaise. I love that I can get to know more about her, as I read her novel which is very good.
I’m working on the gusset of what I call Kayla’s socks. I am almost done, and then straight knitting to the toe. I had to work on the gusset a little longer than I wanted to last night, to get it looking like I wanted.
My hope is that it is as lovely where you are today as it is here. If not, there is always bad weather knitting to do, and that is always lovely anyway. xo Jeannine
