I would say Happy Tuesday, but with very sad news in the world, I feel more like saying, Hello! I'm happy you are here. Let us be friends and celebrate love today; the opposite of evil. All those hurt and their families will be in my heart and prayers.
This post is a little late. I planned to have it done last night after cutting out a dress pattern, but then it turned out to be a very strange pattern to cut. I think I made a mistake, so that piece of fabric may be put in the quilting bag. I won't let it bother me, it will be used, but I don't think I'll use that pattern, and it was too late to start anew. I plan to cut a new one today if time allows. I like to break up my sewing. I cut one day, mark one day, sew a day or two. It makes sewing easier and more enjoyable for me.
Waffles for breakfast yesterday, made me think of waffles in crochet, so I sat underneath my work in progress, a waffle-patterned afghan, and crocheted for a while. It's so close to being finished! I just need to press on and get it done. Of course the moment I finish, it will be much too warm to use, but I'll be happy to just look at it until next fall.
After breakfast, my boys were playing with the dog and playing ball outside and it was so nice, we decided to go to Forest Park, in St. Louis. Right about that time, my oldest had allergies that went wild and his eyes swelled up. He had to stay home and take Benadryl. I would have preferred to stay home as well then and just have a quiet day, but with him resting well, the younger two were still really needing to go somewhere, so we went anyway and I'm glad we did. They had a wonderful time being together and exploring there. Families were out and about and the weather was, oh so beautiful. I think I'll plan a picnic there for the whole family soon. I'm dreaming a little this morning, of chicken salad sandwiches on croissants, fruit salad in mason jars, and brownies for desert. Yes! I'm going to do that!
Well dear friends. I'm wishing you a beautiful day today. May it be peaceful, and may friendship and love always win. Jeannine:)
