Hello! I hope your holiday and weekend were wonderful. Ours was very nice, full of food, family, love. After dinner, I relaxed a lot and knit just a little.
As of yet, I haven't found the right pattern for my purple, linen yarn. I think it will likely be a lace scarf, but I'm still searching for a pattern that seems fitting and easy, for the lace-weight yarn..
Today is the last day of spring break for my children, and with that, and even as I was preparing for Easter, I've been thinking ahead to a lot that needs to be done here.
The outdoors is really ready for some attention. There is a vegetable garden that needs planting, window boxes that need to be hung and filled, and lots of flowers to plant, both in the ground and in pots around the house.
There's much to be done in doors as well. My son's homeschool log book is on my mind. I need to calculate at home, and away from home hours (state requirements), core class hours and non-core, to determine how many more hours are needed for the remainder of the year. Then, a plan will be made to
ensure those hours are met between now and June 30th.
In the kitchen, the pantry and shelves need cleaning, organization, and some change, (replacing some metal shelves and a closet door that needs to come down) as well.
Also, a bit of meal planning is needed. Nothing too laid out, but i'd like to have some new, lighter recipes in the recipe box as the warmer seasons arrive.
There's much to do and I'll enjoy the work, especially when I know afterwards there will be more free time to relax with family, knit, and sew.
Well my friends, I hope this Monday is kind to you. My wish for you is simple. May you feel rested and happy today. xo Jeannine
