A good and happy Sunday to you dear friends! It’a a gorgeous morning here in the Midwest. My husband and I started the day on the porch, with coffee and mini frittatas. The warm breeze met us when we stepped outside, and reminded me of an ocean breeze. It’s so lovely today!
Yesterday, I made it to the store and got straight to work on the quilt. I didn’t have a written pattern or kit, so I had to plan as I went along, looking at the original I made for help. There are a lot of different colors that will be included, but most of the fabrics have soft grays to tone it down and bring it together. I also thought that the blocks would be twelve inches and they are actually ten. So I’ll have to make a few more than planned. This is how quilting often goes for me. I am not by any measure, an expert at quilting, so it’s usually trial and error, but eventually a quilt gets done all the same:) It’s hard to believe, that soon, I’ll have to start working on the Christmas quilts I have in progress in order to finish them for late fall.
Today I’ll be doing the normal chores like laundry. My husband is going to hang a laundry line for me! I’ll be working in the garden, drinking sweet tea, and taking breaks in the afternoon to knit outdoors.
I hope you find rest this Sunday my friend, and feel restored as we start a new week. Have a beautiful day:) Jeannine xo
