Hi! How are you today? I’m happy you are here!
These hot days of summer are just what I’ve been needing in order to get a little knitting done. Yesterday, I set myself up at the dining room table, with a small quilt as a tablecloth, and my knitting projects, knitting magazines, and patterns, spread out in a semi-circle of goodness all around me. I knit for a while on the cashmere lace, making sure to finished the first motif, then switched to sock knitting (my new found joy,) and finally, a little relaxing work on the lavender shawl.
From my chair there, I can look just to my right out the long window to the front yard, the flowers, and hot sunshine, but I feel only the cool of the air-conditioning and hear only the hum of the fan, that stirs up the slightest breeze. It’s cool enough here to desire a cup of hot tea, and I happily and patiently wait a moment so I don’t lose a stitch, when a cloud passes in front of the sun and darkens the room.
I hope you are enjoying summer friends. When you have time, I hope you allow yourself to slow down and maybe intentionally set yourself up for a little joy. Have a beautiful day! Jeannine :)
