Happy beautiful Sunday to you! How is your weekend treating you? With so much to do outside this time of year, I’m wondering if your knitting and sewing has had to be put in the basket for a few days like mine? Last night, I was able to get it out again and its promise to calm, never fails.
My weekend started with family being together on Friday night. Oh my goodness, I love when we are all “home.” It was such a nice night. Good food, love and togetherness.
Then, yesterday my husband and I were outside most of the day. I was planting flowers and he was mulching around the property. I love when the flowers are planted and things are green. It’s so relaxing and quiet here at home.
The best part about this time of year though, is that knitting has moved outdoors, and well, that opens up a whole new feeling of happiness!
I have a few more flowers to plant later this morning, but for now, I’m sitting on the front porch to knit!
I’m sitting right here. I have a cuppa and I’m working on my Romance shawl. I have one more row of 300 or so stitches before I begin the short rows. I love this pattern and even though there has not been as much knitting time as I would like, the idea of a gradient color change coming soon, makes me want to sit a little longer and knit on.
Here’s my view on the porch:) The birds are singing and I hear the sweet calls of an owl in the distance...
In a few minutes I’ll probably move across the porch. My husband and I can be found there every weekend, early mornings and late afternoons, sitting on the rockers. Even if the day ahead has a busy schedule this time of year, we try to start and end it here. A boy or two, or a dog or two, always end up stopping by to say hi, and I’m grateful every time. I’ve often told him as we sit there thinking and talking about so much, I don’t really need vacations, I am happy right here.
Do you have a favorite place to knit or sew? If you’d like to send me a photo, you can at: email@example.com I’d love to see!
Well my kind friends. I hope you have an easy work week, whether that be at home or away, and I hope each day ends with knitting, family, and your favorite places. Jeannine:)
