I’m off to a late start today due to some early morning knitting, but I wanted to sip a little more tea and say a quick hello to you before I start my day.
My journey to discover the sock knitter inside me continues, with a skein of Gatsby’s Pink Suit, by Kniterature Yarns. I’m using my new modge podge vanilla sock pattern and working toward the goal of wanting sock knitting to feel like something I can do from start to finish without looking at patterns.
I have recently discovered Inside Number 23 podcasts and it’s quite fun to watch Katie if you haven’t seen her.
Today is cleaning day here at Stone Cottage. One of my dear boys is going with friends to an amusement park, while the other two plan to go to the pool. With them entertained, I hope to get some good cleaning work done.
The temperature is cooler today. It’s beautiful outside! So later this afternoon, I’ll be baking bread. I noticed the other day, that the heat is turning the named brand, store bought loaves, into somewhat of an undesirable slice of dampness, so I think for the rest of the summer, it will be homemade or a little money well spent, on bakery bread for sandwiches and toast.
If I can get the chores done, I’ll finish the day off with a little sewing. I enjoy working on projects so much more when the house is tidy, but not so much if I’m looking at laundry or dishes. (By the way, there is always laundry and dishes:)
Have a lovely, sunny day, and may joy and peace meet you at the door when you reach home. xo Jeannine
