Hello and a happy new day to you! Even in terrible times, there is something positive in a new day.
I have a date with my knitting basket today. My projects were ignored much more than I wanted this weekend. There was dinner out, and bowling with the boys though, and that is more important. The boys have also set up new exercise equipment with Dad, and so there has been some friendly competing going on. I can’t believe how they have grown. I’m surrounded by men!
Tomorrow I have to work a long day away from home, so today I would love a quiet day with my knitting and maybe a little reading. I’ll be cleaning up a little around here as well, and planting a few onions. The only goal for today though, is to keep things simple. Okay, make that, really simple. I’m wondering, what are you doing today my friends?
As I mentioned, I'm looking for lighter fare dishes to make this summer. I thought it would be fun as I find them and make them, to share them with you, and rate the recipes for you as well. You’ll see more on this in the coming days.
Well then. It is yet another difficult time for our nation. It’s hard to talk about it yesterday and today, and in a space created to share joy and gratitude with you. A place where I hope your visits with me will make you smile. But oh my, friends, my heart is way to sensitive for such things to happen and me not to speak of it. So I will just say this:
May the devastation, pain, and suffering we feel today as a nation and a world, only unite us more and make us stronger. May the disturbed kind of hate, that brings forth such a tragedy, be the direct cause of parallel amounts of love, that blooms as a result, between the rest of us. That is, all of us who know decisions such as these, will never end in any kind of true victory.
Wishing you a beautiful, sunny day dear friends. A day full of love, peace, and simple joys! Jeannine xo
