Happy Friday! Are you as glad as I am? I'm doing a last bit of knitting this morning, before it will be tucked into the basket until after the weekend. The idea that knitting can't be gotten to for a couple days, can sometimes be a tad unsettling, can't it? But there's comfort in knowing it's there waiting, ready to allow us to slow down and enjoy when there is time:)
Isn't it amazing, how much we think about as we knit? I love knitting as much as I do, in part, because when knitting, I have time to sit and think! This morning I am just thinking about all the knitters, and all the thoughts going on while we knit, and I'm loving that. Knitters could change the world with all that thinking put together! :)
Last night, a conversation started with my middle son wondering what his name meant. (Nolan.) He was a bit miffed that it wasn't historical, like most names and being the unique name that it is, he couldn't find much about its meaning. His initials are "NHC", and he continued to express the lack of written meaning behind his name, eventually informing me, that I named him after the "National Hurricane Center!" When my youngest Jordan entered the conversation, there was playful teasing between the two (always), and the older then informed Jordan his name was listed under the girl names. In response, Jordan quickly did a study of his own name, followed by him saying with some apprehension, not knowing the words ahead of him, "It says it can be both!…..Taken after the Jordan River!"..(His voice and excitement growing ever stronger here)…"Where..John the Baptist, Baptized JESUS!"
Oh my, the fun that happens here! I'm so grateful for them, and their names!
Well my dear friends, I hope you have a perfect, beautiful Friday. Jeannine xo
