Good morning! It's homeschool network day, so I'm away from home and on a rush schedule for the day. I stopped by the coffee shop to visit with you for a small chat and then I'm off to the city, for a much needed eye doctor appointment and then back again.
I love the merino/silk, sand yarn I'm using and I think this might be one of my favorite knits. The yarn is glorious, the pattern relaxing. It's a little bit of lace and yet interesting enough not to feel too repetitive. I ordered another skein late in the night;)
Yesterday was a full, beautiful day. There was a quick drive to the lake while Jordan was taking a violin lesson. Then back home to cook dinner and snacks for everyone. I enjoyed the kitchen so much; darkened, and soft lights as the rain came.
Jordan graciously agreed to share a bit of his day yesterday too. It's always lovely when knitting can harmoniously be worked into homeschool. Ahh. My heart was so full, as I listened to him play violin, proud of the song he learned earlier in the day. Words could never say how much I love him. His Science and English were completed, and late in the evening he was packed up for a good day today. I try to support him and be by him as he works. He likes it, and I struggled greatly in school in my younger years and don't want him to.
There was even a little time yesterday to organize my knitting bag, purse, and create a tiny on-the-go sewing kit. The hoop is three inches and the box about 5x7 inches. It fits in my purse and knitting bag and hopefully more sewing will get done with it being within reach.
I'm running a bit late now. I hope your Thursday sails you right into a wonderful weekend my friends. I truly hope you have reason to smile today! :) xo Jeannine
