Happy Friday! Is it a good day for you so far? I hope so. When I type "Happy Day", I often find myself thinking about sweet women, who may be going through hard times, and I worry how someone might feel to read that each day, if they are experiencing gloomy days of the heart, instead of happy days. So to that I say, you see, someone is thinking about you today!
The gift shop at work sells organic tea, and I’ve been looking at for a while. I finally decided to purchase some yesterday. In my mind, I was already looking ahead to a quiet night at home. (I had been up most of the night before with a headache, and stayed awake until 4:15 am when the alarm went off.) After dinner was cooked, it was definitely time to settle down with hot tea, quiet my mind, and find the peaceful rhythm of my cross-stitch. Even knitting felt like it might take too much effort. I love this little cross-stitch kit. I’m so glad for the projects and designs Alicia creates for us to make.
This morning I sipped (okay, maybe grabbed) coffee and did a little work on a sock. The color reminded me of berries, and after a few minutes, I was mixing a batch of triple berry muffins. (I used a standard muffin recipe and just added strawberries, blueberries and raspberries.)
Well dears, nothing spectacular here today. This may just be a true picture of summers at Stone Cottage. In less than a week we are going on vacation. I’ll write more about that early next week. (I’m planning a video tutorial when I get home;) However, in order for me to get away from work next week, I have to work the next three days in a row (ew). I’ll try to pop in this weekend to visit, I’m thinking I might visit and communicate by photos. Hmm. But if it gets too difficult, with time being too short for crafty progress, I will see you on Tuesday!
Happy Fourth of July to you then kind friends! I wish you much joy, with family, friends and barbecue!
