Happy sweet, wonderful Friday to you! I know I get overly smitten with this day, but it’s the day we all meet back home, with nothing on the schedule for the next morning except being together, and that’s just the best feeling ever. Last night we had an orchestra concert and two nights before, an end of year band concert. Both made me so happy, but emotional too, as I see all the kids at the school growing so fast, having so much fun, and the seniors ready to take off and begin their independent lives. If you are a parent of a senior, I get it. Congratulations, but I know it’s bitter sweet:)
When dear Andi shared this sock book, I think I bought it two seconds later. I don’t have a vanilla sock pattern that I love yet and I’ve been trying. I hope to find a pattern as my go to pattern for socks, using this as a helpful guide. I’d love to know if you have a great vanilla sock pattern to share, if so, please do! I’m casting on socks in blue for my daughter, who like me, is usually cold. Blues and teals have always been her favorite. I’m also going to visit with some of my works in progress today, tucked away for too long, deep in the basket.
It’s sunny and beautiful here this morning, despite the chill. So, would you like to throw on a shawl, grab another cuppa, and see what nature is gifting us this morning? Let’s walk shall we?
The wonder of wildflowers makes me think of Little House on the Prairie and simpler times. I love them so.
The rose buds are perfect now. Apparently loving the combination of cool and sun.
I’m not sure why dew is so beautiful, but for some reason it is. I won’t often talk of faith here, I’d rather show it, but if you wish, you can hear one of my favorite hymns here. I can’t help but think of it when I see dew in the garden. I’m a fan of old hymns because my father cherished them. Words would not be able to explain here, the happiness an old hymn brought to his expression.
Dear squirrels, I don’t mind sharing plums with you, (well I kind of do), but please, just leave me enough for a few jars of jelly. Thank you!
Have a happy Friday and a precious weekend. Love to you, Jeannine
