Well done to you no wonder you are such a kind and happy person. The trouble with a lot of the population is that, in my view, they only see the what and not the who. The song is really good and I hope it does really well. We are still having hailstones here but interspersed with lovely sun showers, still cold though. Take care Jackie
Thank you! Glad the sun is coming through. “...see the what and not the who.” I like that:)
Thanks as always for your kind words Jackie.
Good Afternoon. Am taking a break from the old grind here at work and thought I would pop by for a visit. Glad, as always, that I did. I enjoyed your story and "you go, girlfriend". As I age, I find that life is a constantly changing panorama. One day you find yourself doing things that you never thought you could, either because you have to or need to, not that you want to! I have severe anxiety issues that manifest themselves into bad habits, but I am aware of them, and try to change, but it is hard, to say the least. All I can do is wake up each morning hoping to have a better day than the one before. Some days are great, but others are not. Anyway, need to get back to work and will check in with you before I head out of town. Wishing you a very pleasant day filled with sunshine and lots of cuppas...
I’m always glad to see you visit too! Thank you. Sorry for your struggle some days. I understand in a way because dealing with the school at times caused me anxiety and that’s to say the least as well. Yes, thank goodness we get a new start with each new day. Hope your work day is on it’s way to done now. Jeannine:)
Thank you for sharing your story. It takes a lot of courage to put yourself out there for all the world to see. School can be a very tough experience for children. One funny look or cutting remark can set a child back for years. I have heard people say that they wish they could go back and do it all over again but my reaction is always, "No! I barely survived the first time!" In the long run, it does make you a stronger person. Congratulations on obtaining your college degree. That is awesome! You are right - it's not about the piece of paper - it's about the life skills, values and qualities you acquire during your quest for education. Kudos to you for getting to the finish line. Or, perhaps, another starting line . . .
Jenny, So true about barely getting through the first time. I can laugh now, kind of. :) Thank you! And thanks for taking the time to comment after reading my story. Jeannine xo
Dear Jeannine ... I am not sure how I came upon your "little space" but I so enjoy the bit of browsing that I have done. Your words were heartwarming. Thank you for sharing. We also live in the Midwest and we had stormy weather come through during the nighttime. I think that we may be in for more stormy weather later today. We mostly had heavy rain and we did lose power for a few hours during the nighttime. It is so pretty now. Lots of sunshine and mild temperatures. Everything is green and growing. So much to be thankful for. Sweetest Blessings ♥ Teri
Oh nice to know you are in the midwest too! Thank you for your kind words. Yes the greenery is so beautiful now and I love the warm temps. too:) Have a great night! Jeannine
Hello friend! We do need to share a cup of coffee one day. After reading today's story, I have to tell you that we have so much in common. I have much respect for you - in sharing your story, in being a fierce advocate for your child, and in deciding to move forward in your education.
Yes I hope we can have coffee together one day. Like old friends. I’d love that Leisa. Thanks for letting me know we have much in common and for your kindness. I appreciate it so. Thanks for your friendship too. Jeannine xo
