Well hello! It's been a whirlwind kind of morning here, forgotten PE bags, a computer, and trips back and forth in traffic. It's best just to roll with it I suppose:) Yesterday's snow is history but the clouds are staying around for a while, trying their best to look gloomy.
My confetti sock yarn is by far not my favorite yarn. I'm just making myself use it. I don't know the brand, but the wool is very nice. I am just more of a pink, purple, pastel, lover.
I decided if the corners of my home are going to transition to cottage flair, there is only one way that will happen, so I had better get to it. With that in mind, late last night, I cut out the most basic quilt pieces possible and a throw is going to be made. Any of these would be lovely. I have three quilts in the works at the moment though, so just stitching up those 5 inch squares would satisfy me just fine.
I've been coming to an eye opening realization lately. As I start to see things through the lens of my camera, (something that quite frankly has never interested me before, unless there was an adorable child of mine on the other end), I am seeing the world around me in a totally different light. Really seeing things, if you know what I mean. There is lighting to consider and so much beauty around, in trees, the sky, and well just about everything. But the realization came to me as I took pictures of llamas, an owl, hawks, crops and yes, now donkeys...I live in the country! ha. I honestly never realized how much "country" is around me until now and I'm appreciating it for all it has to offer, which is so much if I take the time to really see it. To think all this time I would have said I was a city mouse.
Thank goodness my friends, one more day until the weekend. We can do this! Jeannine:)
